Jane sharpened her unique eye for beauty and style as a fashion photographer and graphic designer in Dublin and New York. In 1999, Jane moved to London where she put down the camera to do fashion communications for one of the UK’s most prestigious public relations agencies. She moved on to become the International PR and VIP Relations Manager at Jimmy Choo, where she was part of the team that helped build the then-niche British label into the global sensation it is today. In 2005, Jane was approached to set up the London office of US brand-management agency, Starworks. As founder and partner of this sought-after agency, she built a team that successfully delivered integrated solutions across public relations, licensing, events, creative digital content and VIP services. For five years, she provided their prestigious roster of brands, which included Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Aquascutum, Harvey Nichols, Temperley London, Matthew Williamson, Uniqlo and David Morris Fine Jewellery, with a multitude of services from casting celebrity talent for campaigns to event production, VIP attendance and dressing.
In 2010, Jane left London to relocate to Toronto, where, in perhaps her finest talent-spotting moment to date, she discovered her perfect partner in style, Vanessa. The two went on to create Power of Privé.
Vanessa mastered the art of style curation as Retail Editor at Condé Nast Traveller UK in 2001, where she created perfect edits of luxury items for fashionable travellers issue after issue. The next step in her well-heeled journey was at Tatler, the UK’s most prestigious society and fashion magazine. Tatler’s readers demand the best and most exclusive – and it was Vanessa’s job as Executive Retail Editor to roundup the hottest beauty, jewellery and fashion buys for the It List each month. Her role included playing ambassador to key advertisers and the global luxury brands featured editorially. Vanessa regularly attended events where she gave talks and interacted with readers giving them access to her fashion savvy by advising them on the latest trends and how to wear them (a favourite part of her job). Her multifaceted role – editor, stylist, liaison – gave her unrivalled exposure and make her uniquely placed to represent and promote high-end brands today.
In 2009 Vanessa relocated to Toronto where she found the perfect fit for her talents, working with Holt Renfrew as customer development consultant and social liaison. Vanessa grew up in Gstaad, Switzerland, and speaks an enviable amount of languages including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
